Students can test solutions for acid or base determination.
Litmus test papers is Easy-to-use red litmus paper turns blue for bases and blue litmus turns red for acids.
100 strips of each.
Not for measuring the pH of natural waters, such as streams, rivers and lakes.
Nature : when the pH value is higher than 8.3, the test paper turn to blue, less than 8.3, the test paper does not change color
Blue litmus paper is mainly used for the detection of acid solution
Nature : when the pH value is less than 4.5, the test paper turn to red, higher than 4.5, the test paper does not change color.
Comes with 2 portable vials, each filled with easy to use, pre-cut strips.
No external reagents or chemicals needed for accurate testing of solutions
A simple way to determine without a doubt if a solution is acidic or basic, with a second test to confirm your findings.
No color chart needed to determine findings; these tests are designed
for determining if the pH is above or below a certain level NOT giving a
precise pH value.
Instructions :
Remove one litmus test paper from the vial, being careful not to touch the strip anywhere other than where you grasp it.
Dip the strip into the solution to be tested for 1-2 seconds and remove.
The red test strip will turn blue in seconds if dipped into a solution that is a base, and will remain unchanged if not.
The blue test strip will turn red in seconds if dipped into a solution that is a base, and will remain unchanged if not.
